I'm Coach Arjun Mehta. Fifteen years coaching bat and ball fundamentals — from a kid's first forward defence to a state trial net session.
LEVEL 2 BCCI CERTIFIED · EX-RANJI TROPHY PLAYER
"Talent gets you noticed. Technique gets you selected."
I played four seasons of Ranji Trophy cricket before a knee injury ended my playing career earlier than I'd have liked — which turned out to be exactly the push I needed to start coaching. Fifteen years later, I still think the nets teach more than any match ever will.
My coaching is built on technique-first fundamentals and match-awareness training — before we talk strategy, we fix the grip, the stance, the follow-through. Everything else comes easier once the basics are solid.
I currently run net sessions for three age groups, coach the district U-16 squad, and prep players individually for state-level trials each season.
Coaching built around age group and skill level.
Three-week intensive for 14 U-16 pace bowlers, run-up mechanics focus.
Six-week one-on-one coaching cycle ahead of district trials.
Weekend clinic focused on flight and drift for aspiring spinners.
Our longest-running program — technical batting fundamentals, every Saturday.
Head coach for the district's representative under-16 team.
Individual coaching cycle resulting in four state-level selections.
