What I treat

Care I provide, every day

General medicine with a special interest in diabetes and lifestyle disease — the conditions that need a doctor who knows you, not just your reports.

General medicine

Fevers, infections, fatigue, blood pressure, thyroid — first-contact care for adults, and honest referrals when you need a specialist.

Adults · all ages

Diabetes & metabolic care

New diagnoses explained without fear, medication tuned to your life, and reversal programmes where the evidence supports them.

Type 2 · Prediabetes · PCOS

Hypertension & heart risk

Blood-pressure control, cholesterol decisions and ten-year risk assessments — with a plan you can actually follow.

Screening · Management

Annual health checks

A check-up designed by a doctor, not a lab menu — only tests with a reason, reviewed with you in person for half an hour.

Individuals · Couples

Video consultations

Follow-ups, report reviews and second opinions from home — Tuesdays and Fridays, with prescriptions sent digitally.

Follow-ups · Reviews

Elder care at home

About

The doctor your family keeps

I trained at CMC Vellore, where the first thing they teach you is that the patient is telling you the diagnosis — if you listen. Sixteen years and twenty-eight thousand consultations later, that is still how my clinic runs: twenty minutes per patient, phones on silent, reports read before you walk in.

Half my practice is diabetes and lifestyle disease. The medicine matters, but so does the fact that I'll know your name, your work schedule and what you actually eat — because that's what makes a plan stick.

"A good consultation should end with you knowing more about your body than when you walked in."

★★★★★

First doctor in years who read my old reports before I sat down. She took me off two medicines another clinic had me on for no clear reason.

Ramesh K.Diabetes care · 3 years
★★★★★

My mother is 82. Dr. Nair visits her at home every quarter and calls after every medicine change. That phone call is everything.

Anita T.Elder care at home
★★★★★

She drew my HbA1c trend on paper and explained what each number meant. Eight months later I'm off insulin, with her sign-off.

Questions

Before you visit

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?+

Appointments keep the clinic on time for everyone, so please book. Genuine urgencies are always seen the same day — call the clinic and we'll fit you in.

Should I come fasting for my first visit?+

No — come as you are. If tests are needed, we'll schedule them properly. Bring every report and medicine strip you have, however old.

Do you accept insurance?+

OPD consultations are cash/UPI; the clinic provides itemised receipts and prescriptions that all major insurers accept for reimbursement claims.

Can you be my parents' doctor if I live abroad?+

Yes — this is a third of my practice. Your parents visit the clinic (or I visit them), and you join by video. Reports and plans go to the family WhatsApp group after every visit.
