I nearly failed Class 9 maths. Not because I couldn't do it — because my teacher moved at the speed of the three kids in the front row, and I was in the back, quietly drowning. A tutor spent one afternoon showing me that algebra was just arithmetic wearing a disguise. That afternoon is the reason I teach.
Fourteen years later I still teach for the kid in the back. Boards, JEE foundation, the terrified repeater, the bored topper — every one of them gets the worked example first, then the pencil, then the quiet while they try. I don't do mystery. I do proofs.

Rohan's view: There is no such thing as a maths gene. There is only the step where a student got lost, and whether anyone stopped to notice. My whole method is finding that step — then walking it together until the fear turns into a shrug of 'oh, that's it?'
- Show the whole solution first — no mystery, no gatekeeping.
- Do one together, out loud, mistakes included.
- They do one; I go quiet and watch the pencils.
- They teach it back. If they can explain it, they own it.
